Green Fee Guide: €€

Overview: Millennium is located on the edge of Vilamoura. It shares the same clubhouse as Laguna golf course. In fact, the back-nine was once part of Laguna. Martin Hawtree's golf design company added 9 new holes and the course opened in it's present form in 2000, hence the course's name.

Reasons to play Millennium Golf: A very playable course for all golfers. It's a great course for mid-handicap golfers off the yellow tees, but low handicappers will want to go off the medal tees. The woodland section of the course, holes 3 to 7, is one of the best sequences of holes in Portugal.

Factors to consider at Millennium Golf: It is only lightly undulating, so you can save on a hiring a buggy. If you want to play 36 holes in one day, you could combine Millennium with Laguna next door.

Degree of difficulty of Millennium Golf: You do need to keep it straight on the woodland section and the back-nine is a bit tight in places. But generally it is fairly forgiving and the greens are fair, so a good score is quite possible.

Our overall verdict: Millennium offers a very pleasant round of golf. Worth Considering
